The client was acquiring a business and did not want to inherit the legacy mainframe application to reduce cost and technical debt. The business case demonstrated significant savings and an uplift in agility and cost of change. Requirements included the reverse engineering of more than 200,000 lines of custom COBOL code including complex financial calculations. In addition, there was extensive integration work to plug the new, OutSystems based solution into the existing technology ecosystem. This was a joint project with the client, with DB leading the Design, architecture, development and deployment phases. The solution went live in July processing a wide range of complex remuneration payments to advisors and licensees across Australia and New Zealand.
