Piper Companies is currently seeking a Senior Application Architect Consumer Lending Policy to join a leading financial services organization headquartered in McLean, VA. 

This role is responsible for leading the design and orchestration of decision systems, enabling fast, reliable, and scalable solutions across internal workflows and third party data integrations. This is a hybrid position, requiring on site presence in McLean, VA three days per week. While the Washington, DC area is preferred, candidates who are open to working from the San Antonio , TX office will also be considered.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Application Architect for Consumer Lending Policy include:

• Design architecture for originations, collections, and account management aligned with Consumer Banking goals.
• Build intelligent processes with feedback loops to improve decision optimization.
• Recommend tools and architecture to monitor and analyze system performance.
• Maintain deployment architecture and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with BI teams to create dashboards tracking KPIs like speed, completion, and abandonment.
• Expand decisioning capabilities across consumer banking areas.
• Manage relationships with internal teams and external vendors (e.g., software providers, credit bureaus).
• Provide technical support for resolving decisioning system issues and recommend improvements.

Qualifications for the Sr. Application Architect for Consumer Lending Policy include:

• 12+ years of experience with process orchestration and optimization development.
• 6 + years of direct management experience is required.
• 4+ years of experience of domain architecture experience is required.
• Proficient in SQL Server, client server, and GUI based development tools.
• Preferred experience with consumer lending credit systems.
• Strong knowledge of case management platforms like Salesforce but OutSystems is required.
• Skilled in using process monitoring and measurement tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or statistics is degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or statistics is required, a master’s degree is ideal required, a master’s degree is ideal.

Compensation for the Sr. Application Architect for Consumer Lending Policy:

• Salary Range: $215,000 - $220,000
