Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced OutSystems Architect to design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and accessible web applications within the OutSystems platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture, web development, accessibility compliance, and API integrations, particularly within government or enterprise environments.

This role requires a hands-on technical expert who can lead design sessions, ensure WCAG and Section 508 compliance, and guide teams in delivering high-quality, performance-optimized OutSystems solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of web-based applications within the OutSystems platform (O11).
• Ensure all applications meet WCAG 2.1/2.2 and Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Architect and implement web service integrations (REST/SOAP) between OutSystems and external systems.
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to deliver user-centered, accessible, and responsive designs.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and APIs using OutSystems best practices.
• Integrate OutSystems applications with third-party identity and access management systems (e.g., Okta, Entra ID, Ping Identity).
• Guide development teams through solution design, coding standards, and performance tuning.
• Support CI/CD automation, DevOps pipelines, and version control within OutSystems.
• Provide technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and participate in code reviews.
• Partner with government stakeholders to translate requirements into effective digital solutions.

  Required Qualifications

• 5-years WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 and Standards 508.
• 5-years as an Architect doing Web Solutions.
• Must have 5-years as an Architect and developer for Web Solution within the OutSystems platform.
• Must have five (5) or more years of experience designing and developing reports and dashboards within the OutSystems platform.
• Must have five (5) or more years of experience architecting and developing web-service API integrations to/from the OutSystems platform.
• Must have three (3) or more years of experience architecting, developing and integrating OutSystems solutions with a third-party identity and access management system/identity provider such as Okta, Entra ID, Ping Identity
• Must have three (3) or more years of experience in developing web solutions that comply with accessibility requirements from the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 or later, and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
• Must have at least six (6) or more months of experience developing government audit scheduling and/or government management web solutions within the OutSystems platform

Mandatory Certifications must have min 2 certifications

(Candidates must provide copies of certifications.)

• OutSystems Tech Lead (O11)
• OutSystems Web Developer Specialist (O11)
• OutSystems Expert Developer (O11)
• OutSystems Architecture Specialist (O11)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Experience with cloud-hosted OutSystems environments (AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience in government or regulated industry projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting technical designs.
