About our Research Program
The OutSystems User Research Program was designed to help us shape our products, with the needs and struggles of our users in mind. By taking part in our research activities, you’ll be helping us build a better product and improve the overall experience of OutSystems.
Through online surveys, one-on-one interviews, hands-on sessions, and user testing, you’ll get early access to new products and have a say in the OutSystems roadmap. In return for your valuable input, you’ll receive a small thank-you gift, from OutSystems swag to giftcards or even a charity donation, right after each research activity.
Whether you’re non-technical or a tech expert, a newbie or a master, everyone is welcome! We’re looking for all sorts of profiles that will likely represent different groups of OutSystems users. There is no such thing as a wrong answer, just incredibly valuable feedback.

We're looking for anyone over 18 to help us ensure our products are as valuable and accessible as possible. You don't need any software development experience (or even technology, for that matter).
We run various research activities where we get your feedback about a specific topic or ask you to interact with some parts of our product to follow your behavior. Most initiatives are remote, so we'll receive your feedback via screen sharing or recording while you use the product. The most important thing to remember is that there are no right or wrong answers or actions.
A research activity usually takes 15 to 30 minutes to complete. Specific sessions can take up to 1 hour. They can occur anytime, depending on your availability and local time zone. You'll receive details before agreeing to take part in any research activity.
We'll contact you once we find the best match for your profile. Our priority is to find the best fit for each research activity. Research needs are specific, and our priority is to find the best match for your profile. Don't worry if you are waiting to hear from us right away. We might not need your specific skills and experience yet.
Absolutely not. All information will be used exclusively for OutSystems' internal research purposes. Your responses and personal data are confidential and used following the OutSystems Privacy Statement. We'll only use your information to select the activities that most suit you, and we’ll only contact you to invite you to participate in specific research activities. And we absolutely won't try to sell you anything. We just want to learn from you!
Rally UXR is the software we use to manage all the Research Program processes, including sending invitations to participate in sessions and surveys. So, the recruitment form was created on this tool, and we are using it in most of the screening forms to find the right person to participate in research.

Yes, it is. We try to balance and invite different user profiles depending on what part of the product is under development. Ensure you still have access to the email you used for registration, or update your contact information using this update form.

It depends on how many times you’ve participated. In-depth badge information is available on your OutSystems community profile page.

1- OS Research Program Participant - Earned after subscribing to the Research Program.
2- OS Research Program Pioneer - Earned after your first participation in an activity with our design team.
3- OS Research Program Contributor - Earned after participating in 3 activities with our design team.
4- OS Research Program Rock Star - Earned after participating in 5 activities with our design team.
The voucher-sending process is manual and can take 10 business days after your session. If you finished your session more than 10 business days ago, please email us at researchprogram@research.outsystems.com explaining your situation, and we will respond as soon as possible with a solution.
The badge attribution can take 30 business days after your session. If you finished your session more than 30 business days ago, please email us at researchprogram@research.outsystems.com explaining your situation, and we will respond as soon as possible with a solution.
