These charts are based on the HighCharts library and can be extended with their API to cover advanced use cases and customization options.

What’s New

ROU-4886 / RPM-4903 - Now, OutSystems Charts will be using the latest version of their library provider - Highcharts v11.4.1 (2024-04-04).
In this release, we have updated the HighCharts modules we provide as a basis for our blocks.
If you use any other resources from HighCharts, they must be updated to the same version for consistency.
This new HighCharts version introduces minor visual changes on the supported charts - new typography, more contrast for text labels, tooltip redesign, border-radius on columns and bars, and a new way to show the disabled series.
The visual changes might affect custom charts.

Fixed Issues and Improvements

ROU-4658 - Improved deployment performance by optimizing static entities.
Now, all non-translated static entities were set to have Use Translations = No.
This update is intended to optimize performance and mitigate the limitations on the previous asset version for the Oracle databases, where the customer needed to ensure they are in at least Oracle 12.2. No adverse side effects are anticipated.

It's great to see Highcharts v11.4.1 has been upgraded; it's a much-needed update that improves accessibility and adds visual polish to charts from the start.

Redesigned tooltips, enhanced contrast, updated typography, and column/bar styling all contribute to the charts it improved appearance and feel, which is crucial for creating contemporary, intuitive dashboards. The new disabled series visuals are much more understandable for end users, and the border-radius on bars and columns is a subtle but welcome design improvement.

Additionally, I appreciate you alerting me to the possible visual effects on custom charts. This transparency aids developers in making appropriate plans for the upgrade.
