We are thrilled to announce the official launch of the newest addition to our certification program: the OutSystems Agentic AI Specialization Exam!
The power of Agentic AI is rapidly transforming how we build and deploy applications. To ensure our Community remains at the forefront of this technological shift, we've developed this new Specialization to validate the skills needed to harness AI Agents within the OutSystems platform.

The OutSystems Agentic AI Specialization Exam will be available starting January 2nd, 2026.
🧠 What You Will Master
This Specialization is designed to cover the fundamental knowledge and practical application of intelligent systems in a development context. Topics covered in the exam will include:
Agentic AI in OutSystems: Applying these concepts within agentic apps and workflows in OutSystems
✨ A Crucial Step on the Path to Expert Developer
We want to reinforce the importance of this specialization in our certification program. The Agentic AI Specialization will be integrated as a required Specialist badge to achieve the highest level of recognition: OutSystems Expert Developer.
By adding the Agentic AI Specialization, we ensure our Expert Developers are fully equipped to implement the next generation of AI-powered solutions.
⏳If you currently hold the OutSystems Expert Developer
As this new AI Specialization will be a requirement for the Expert badge, and to help you maintain this highest level, we will provide you a six (6) month grace period from the release date to successfully pass the new Agentic AI Specialization exam. This is required to maintain your current Expert Developer status and badge.
We are incredibly excited about this launch and believe it will empower our community to build even more innovative and impactful applications. This is only a extra requirement for Expert Developer ODC? So without this OutSystems Agentic AI Specialization, you still have the Expert Developer O11?
I would say yes. The new OutSystems Agentic AI Specialization is an additional requirement only for the Expert Developer ODC path. Since Agents are an ODC-only capability, this specialization does not affect the Expert Developer O11 certification.
So even without the Agentic AI Specialization, you still keep your Expert Developer O11.
This is my opinion but let wait for OutSystems team answer.
Outsystems 11 will stay and companies don't have to move to ODC. I guess there is a good reason for this very good decision.If a company stays on O11 and will not use outsytems AI, probably because another AI-solution is already in place, why would the expert knowledge for O11 become invalid?This beside the time, energy, money and lots of exam-frustration it did cost to become an expert. I've had the pleasure of guiding some very good developers in their certification as expert developers, and I think I can safely say this.
@Matthias Preuter Yes, this only applies to the ODC Expert Developer path.
So, the Expert Developer O11 will continue as it is and will not be impacted by this new release.

If I am having Agentic AI ready badge will I get this certification by default as like ODC developer we received earlier.
@Sanjay Bankar No. The community badge is a great first step on your Agentic AI journey with OutSystems and is highly recommended to help you get ready for this new exam.But, to get the Specialist badge, you will need to take and pass the exam.
