The Pokémon Company International wanted to improve the experience for Pokémon Day so that more fans would gather to celebrate in their stores. The digital team, supported by partner valantic LCS, saw an opportunity to repurpose an existing location solution built with OutSystems.
Find out how the team adapted existing code and UI from the Play Pokémon Access mobile app into a new event locator app that supports seven languages. The new solution was a huge success, connecting 14,000 players globally and boosting event attendance. The team continues to make the most of the OutSystems platform’s capabilities, reusing the app for other events like Pokéween. OutSystems enables them to move quickly from concept to production-ready solution, while keeping a consistent design and fan experience.
