At ONE World Tour in Miami, OutSystems CEO Woodson Martin revealed his vision for a unified platform for the complete AI enterprise app and agent lifecycle. Joined on-stage by Thermo Fisher Scientific, Axos Bank, and Both Ends Believing (BEB), he capped off a year of surprises and major announcements, many of which were inspired by our customers. He also shared Agent Workbench’s early momentum (GA at ONE Lisbon) and unveiled “enterprise vibe coding,” the new conversational app and agent generation capability in Mentor.
Here’s a breakdown of the three biggest announcements every OutSystems developer and partner needs to know about and act on (scroll down for limited-time offers!).
Table of contents:
- Announcement #1: The unification of OutSystems 11 and OutSystems Developer Cloud
- Announcement #2: Agentic AI, unified for life
- Announcement #3: Bringing AI-driven app and agent development together in Mentor
- Real-world unification: OutSystems customers give back
- Your action plan for building your agentic future with OutSystems
Announcement #1: The unification of OutSystems 11 and OutSystems Developer Cloud
The vast majority of our customers have built mission-critical systems and application portfolios on OutSystems 11 (O11). And they’ve told us they want to keep solving challenges and developing new things on the platform they know and trust. They would also like to use the latest technologies available in OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC) without starting over.
So, we have adapted our platform strategy accordingly. We’re combining the depth, stability, and governance of O11 with the scalability, speed, and intelligence of ODC. In his keynote address in Miami, Woodson built on the momentum of the announcement made in Lisbon and shared more details about how we’re making O11 and ODC work together.
Whether customers are scaling mission-critical apps in O11 or innovating with cloud-native AI in ODC, they can build, deploy, reuse, and evolve their portfolios with full continuity. No forced migrations. No compromises. The environment OutSystems users need, when they need it.
Easier access to ODC for all
Woodson also briefed the audience on what’s happened since we made it possible for:
- Customers in good standing to get a production-ready ODC environment at the click of a button.
- Developers get a free ODC personal edition with a simple signup on outsystems.com.
In just six weeks, there have been thousands of new developer signups on OutSystems Developer Cloud. Now they’re discovering what AI-driven, cloud-native low-code development can do for them as they use it for web, mobile, and agentic AI applications. They’re experiencing the OutSystems advantage firsthand.
Your OutSystems advantage: One unified platform
In Miami, Woodson emphasized that with OutSystems, you have one unified platform with everything you need to innovate. Full-stack low-code development with AI app and agent generation and orchestration are all in one place for your complete AI software development lifecycle.
Woodson also made it clear that unified does not mean locking you into one AI vendor’s universe forever. OutSystems will be your advantage in building market-leading, disruptive AI solutions for your customers and stakeholders that are yours to iterate, customize, and scale. The possibilities are infinite.

Announcement #2: Agentic AI, unified for life
The OutSystems unification story continues with agentic AI. After the GA of Agent Workbench in September, along with the license fee waiver for the calendar year to all customers in good standing, customers and developers are embracing agentic AI faster than we thought possible. In Miami, Woodson welcomed OutSystems Chief Product and Technology Officer Luis Blando to fill us in on how Agent Workbench brings together all parts of the agent lifecycle. Then Luis introduced a special guest of his own.
Agent Workbench demo: Forge component and agentic sequences
Sean Mee, OutSystems Regional VP of Solutions Architecture - Americas, walked through a demonstration of Agent Workbench, showing how the visual development interface works, including how quick it is to add pre-built Forge components. You plug in an AI model, connect it to enterprise data sources, and write a system prompt. The setup comes together without much custom code. Agent Workbench and OutSystems also stay with the agent through its full lifecycle, monitoring its performance, delivering traceability, and correcting issues or misalignment. All of this leads to fewer hallucinations and higher quality responses.
Sean also showed how this setup enabled three agents in a banking loan application to change everything for senior underwriter Eddie. When customers submit documents, these agents work in sequence. The first agent scans for completeness and errors. The second pulls credit scores and employment history from third-party databases. The third checks everything against lending policies and presents Eddie with a clear recommendation. What used to take Eddie two weeks of toggling between systems now takes hours. He reviews the AI's work, applies his judgment, and approves the loan.
Agent Workbench waiver extended
After the Agent Workbench demonstration, Woodson shared that since the Agent Workbench waiver was announced, more than 1,500 developers have been agentic certified, and more than 5,500 agents have been built with Agent Workbench. That’s when he announced the extension of the waiver for the life of current contracts as long as companies have at least one agent in production by January 31, 2026. We hope this inspires you to get building if you haven’t already.
Announcement #3: Bringing AI-driven app and agent development together in Mentor
Starting an application or agent from scratch sounds exciting until you have to build one that’s production-ready. That’s where vibe coding on its own can let you down. In Miami, OutSystems CMO Kris Lande reminded us that Mentor doesn’t abandon you after you have those first heady lines of AI-generated code, guiding you through the full enterprise development process all the way to the 1-click publish button.
AI has changed how we build and develop software. To bring our customers into the future of AI-driven application development, the following Mentor enhancements are coming soon:
- A new natural language processing experience that allows a more fluid, real-time dialogue, replacing the single-prompt approach.
- The integration of Mentor directly into ODC studio, as your AI co-pilot, ready to help with iteration tasks where you need real power and precision.
- The ability to build agents using Mentor-generated blueprints so you know what’s going to be built and can provide feedback.
Mentor delivers vibe engineering for the enterprise, where the starting point is a production-ready app you can shape with stakeholders and ship to your customers. One of our customers, Axos Bank, is already taking advantage of the unification of agentic and generative AI.
Unifying agentic AI and AI development: A demonstration with Axos Bank
Axos Bank faced the challenge of modernizing legacy COBOL and AS/400 mainframe applications. Before Mentor, this meant ten plus steps including upgrading the tech stack, redesigning the user experience, and handling last-minute integrations. OutSystems Mentor changed the process entirely. Using enterprise vibe coding and agents with full enterprise context, Axos Bank modernized their legacy applications without building from scratch. All those traditional modernization steps simply disappeared.
Real-world unification: OutSystems customers give back
Since the founding of OutSystems, we have been committed to supporting non-profits, and our customers have been using our platform to make the world a better place. At ONE Lisbon and World Tour Miami, Woodson highlighted two of these with moving on-stage interviews with the visionary leaders of these organizations.
Teach for Portugal accelerates onboarding for student teachers
Pedro Almeida, CEO and co-founder of Teach for Portugal, told the story of how his team had no OutSystems, ODC, agentic experience, or technology but they wanted to automate manual and spreadsheet processes with our AI-driven low-code platform. Just 22 days later, Teach for Portugal had built an agentic system for recruiting and onboarding thousands of student success coaches, who serve for two years in the underprivileged schools in this country.
Both Ends Believing unites children with families
Both Ends Believing (BEB) built an application with OutSystems that unites children with birth, extended, and prospective families. Onstage at ONE Miami, Bruce Graham, President of BEB, shared how BEB built a system to digitize children's profiles and match them with prospective families and how AI will further help them reunite separated families.
